Each of them would be correct, technically, but it's different from something that's obviously meant to be a threshold. You'd have to be truly thick to think that "I think someone who has seven beers a day is a drunk" wouldn't also be implying that drinking more than that would also make someone a drunk.

There's a difference between "how many total beers have you had" and "how many have you had". A jar that has 1000 jelly beans also contains 500 jelly beans, and 501 jelly beans, but the total amount is only 1000.

There isn't a number, I'd say it depends on your tolerance, and your ability to go without. If you can't just stop and go a few weeks without alcohol, you're probably a drunk.
