Well, here are some fun facts.
While the lead man, Brendon Urie, may have had subtle influences on their music since the beginning, he did not write I Write Sins Not Tragedies. He only started writing the music himself after their second album Pretty. Odd. The one titled Vices and Virtues was written entirely by himself and Spencer Smith (the bands original bassist) because since he had created such a stranglehold on the band by being such a talent vocalist, the drummer and the lead guitar player bailed because they wanted a more stoner, Beatles style, while Brendon and Spencer wanted a more "Spectacular, Spectacular!" style of music. Spencer Smith developed an issue with narcotics after they released their album "Too Weird To Live; Too Rare To Die" and he left the band, so now the music is made entirely by Urie at his home studio and it is phenomenally better.
I wrote a thesis about them in college for my modern music class.
Edit: We're all a fag about something. Im a fag about this band.
