It's not even an issue of weapons either. They had weapons when Russia was invading, and the most effective attacks aren't with advanced weapons, but with technology that has been around for decades.

The united states government LOVES ISIS. Sure, they are fighting against them, but they love having an enemy so the defense money will keep flowing. A few months prior to the rise of ISIS the CIA was actually caught making up a grassroots terrorist organization so they could spread fear. The real reason we aren't seriously fighting ISIS on either a military or ideological level is because the defense contractors who hold the purse strings to candidates election money want the defense contracts to keep coming.

I was talking about better weapons for committing acts of terror on other countries. They dont need them to fight guerrilla warfare. Also to be fair the part of the middle east that had a vibrant science community was a small part of the middle east. The rest of it was still shit during that time.

What better weapons are they using? A car? Some guns? We had 9/11, but that's about as big of an outlier as you can get.

I was calling it shit in comparison to everywhere else. It has been a religious hotbed full of stupid religious wars since forever. Sure, that happened pretty much everywhere else too but it i cant think of anywhere else that it is basically the identity of the region.

it doesn't mean he takes everything on social media seriously. some people don't have the time or the motivation to keep up with current events. they just want the quick basics and there' nothing wrong with that.
