The fact that women have to even consider whether or not getting blackout drunk at a frat house party because this shit happens often is part of the problem. Women are told that they shouldn't dress provocatively, because men can't control themselves and might do bad things. Girls are told to go home and change clothes in the middle of the school day, because a skirt that's a little too high, or a blouse that's cut a little too low, could distract boys from their learning. It's bullshit, and it's where rape culture festers. Because boys aren't taught that treating girls as objects (as opposed to treating them as human beings) is wrong. And the cycle continues, because "boys will be boys", dontchaknow?
