Heck the beard I have now is even longer than the one in my signature and avatar. Regardless, the one you see in my photo is something I am happy to have.
It makes me feel somewhat masculine I get, and it's rather nice in a way.. Considering I feel I have a lot of feminine traits.
With that said, I personally feel you should keep it! Beards are a win indeed!
