I love to shoot handguns, don't get me wrong, but they seem silly unless you plan on carrying the damn thing everywhere. Nothing beats a shotty for home defense.

To the OP, I would do some research before making a decision on what to buy.

If this is purely for home defense then just buy a Remington 870 and call it good. Don't use 00 buckshot though.
