I'm not a sociologist but I would reckon incidence of statutory rape are higher among anime fans.

I think should should practice dancing or singing or play a sport or something where you express yourself with your body.

I also think you should consult a psychiatrist and explain your anxiety; a benzo or anti-depressant might do you a lot of good.

What you lack is courage or faith in yourself. Most people are kind, some are not, so try and talk with the ones who look kind.

It sounds like you have a few friends, maybe tell the ones who are close to you about your social anxiety and ask them to introduce you to people.

Practice makes perfect and you don't want to be some 30 year old shut in.
