Only other way I can explain it is through an example.

Day 1 you remember you watched TV. Day 2 using state of the art technology your memory is completely erased and all memories pertaining to Day 1 are completely gone from your body. Then this means in respect to the person who watched TV on Day 1 it never happened and this person never realized it happened.

So its theory and therefore cannot be proved as fact?

well I guess technically theories can't be proved, only disproved

but that does not make in invalid. A theory is highly tested.

A theory can be proved. I just don't know how.

No, of course not. That's retarded. You're saying that you can't perceive something if at some point in the future you're going to forget it? So like, I'm not perceiving this thread right now even though I'm guaranteed to forget that I ever read it or posted in it?

I am not talking about you posting in this thread and then it slipping from your memory. This is not like you forgetting something on a test. This is something else. Yeah you can study for a test and then the next day you're like "Gee I remember studying this". In that case sure you perceive that you studied the day before. The memory loss I am talking about is complete and total. This type of memory loss generally only happens once in a life time. In this example I say a super hightech machine wipes your brain.

Then you'll have to reword your quote, because perceiving is just the act of observing something using your senses. It has nothing to do with understanding something or committing it to long-term memory.
