I just wanted to say...

Nope, he/she's right.

The fact that he/she has a correct answer doesnt mean that he/she is not an idiot.

He placed everything equal to x. Which does absolutely nothing for a proof in this question.

True, but it's still valid. the "= x" is always there in equations like this... it's just that most people tend to leave it out because it's implied and just extra things to write out.

Either you're just trolling and being stupid or you haven't gotten to higher level math yet.

If it's first, try harder.

If it's the second, x is a variable. 5x + 1 = 11 would mean the x = 2, so: 5x + 1 = 11 --> 5(2) + 1 = 11 --> 10 + 1 = 11.

The x could be any letter, too, but most people usually use x because it's just the way most people do it. The letter "e" though is never used as a variable because it is a constant like "pi." Same with "i".

I only explained it 'cause your birthday in your profile says you were born in 1998, which means you might not have hit algebraic math yet.

obviously it worked because you took time to type/trying to lecture me on basic mathematics.

only on the internet could a simple math equation ( answer is 9) posted in a thread reach almost 300 posts, when it is answered correctly in the second post rofl

i is not a constant. Constants are real numbers.

no, stupid

6÷ 2*3  = 9

6/2 = 3

3* 3 = 9

there is NO other way to do that problem

5-3 +2

2 + 2 = 4

learn math.

Oh, I went to 30+ schools from 1st - 11th so.. I learned like everything everyones learned

HAHA what a bastard. With your 5-... 5- what? What are we substracting 5 from? 3+2

5- is the first part of the problem and the second part is the number that we are subtracting 5 from.

I'm afraid to be trolled :(

But no, 6 / 2 * 3 =/= 6 / (2 * 3)

Same with you 6/... what are we 6/ with? The answer is 2(1+2). It is implied that we are *2 because that's just the rules. so 2*3.

So we are 6/ by 2*3 which is 6/6.

ppl who say 9 are just totaly retarded

I'm not sure about you but you seem to agree that it isn't 9.

I'm not trolling. What I'm doing is fighting back against the retards in this world who don't know algebra.
