Exactly. Most people have a problem getting their head around what I'm saying, but JT was a reaction to what was happening to music in the late 60s just as much as the Ramones were a reaction to what was happening in the mid-to-late 70s.

I'm j/k actually, Madhouse is a fucking awesome song. There is a lot of pretty decent metal out there, really.

My fave metal song is probably Pantera's "Fucking Hostile."

No offense(this will probably be offensive), but if you think that Nightwish and Lacuna Coil aren't metal you don't really know what you're talking about. Especially Nightwish, they are like one of the most legendary power metal bands.. I think too many people judge metal only by the lyrics rather than the overall style and sound of a group. A vocalist doesn't make a band metal or not.

My favorite metal band is Kamelot, and I'm pretty disappointed I haven't seen one mention of them in the whole thread.

On a side note, I hate metalcore now. It's way too popular now. It has gotten way too punky for me.

I am mainly into power metal, speed metal, thrash, death metal, melodic death metal, and doom metal.
