Working in pharmacy we deal with a lot of vegans getting supplements due to their diet.... B12 occurs naturally ONLY in animal tissue. B12 deficiency can lead to tiredness, weakness, nerve issues, and much more. Most vegans are either anemic or they take iron supplements since most irons in the vegan diet are non-heme. Also a lot of vegans that come through get calcium supplements because it takes a lot of food in the vegan diet to get your daily intake of calcium (A recommended 1,000 mg per day)
