It would be pretty entertaining though, Donald Trump would be sure to make an ass out of himself and take what should be a boon for conservative votes (fear of brown people) and somehow manage to fuck it up.

Yeah, we actually exported radical jihadist educational materials to fight the "evil atheist communists" to afghanistan and nearby countries. The Taliban and I think Al Qaeda STILL uses the material to radicalize children. We're fighting a war of education... that the United States helped start. The only way to actually improve the situation in the middle east is to effectively reverse it using the same method. Instead we just bomb, bomb, bomb, and make sure they stay totally fucked.

Can I get "Things I Never Said or Implied" for 500 Alex?

They certainly weren't as bad. There's been a lot of shit done, and there's really no room to argue that we've made it better, or that ISIS isn't the spawn of shitty foreign policy.

That place has been a shit hole for all of record history. The only thing that has change is they have better weapons now.

/edit

Actually i have to retract that statement. It has only been that way for most of recorded history. There was, at one point, a very vibrant center of science and learning there for a bit.

Nah, there was a time when Baghdad was the cultural and educational center of the entire world.
