It could just be a friendly outreach, but the way it is worded looks like it could be a preventative liability step. When it comes time to sue Blizzard because your family member offed themselves over the actions of a blizzard employee, blizzard can pull this out of their hat and say hey we tried to help - can't sue us.
And you never know, it might actually save somebodies life.
