He was asking for a correlation.

You just mindlessly parroted "correlation does not imply causation" without knowing what it means.

I know what it means, hence why I used it. If you don't understand that then you must be as daft as you're trying to make me look.

He was asking you to provide a correlation. If you claim there's a causation there's necessarily a correlation because causation implies correlation.

And you still don't seem to understand where I'm going.

Given how little sense you made, you might be the only one on this planet who understands where you're going.

I wouldn't be surprised.

Correlation does not imply causation. If I say I'm disadvantaged then it must be so. Where are my special interest groups?

Nobody said it does. However, it is a strong indicator of causation in one direction.
We would, because of this, speculate that either being economically disadvantaged causes you to be black, or vice versa. One of those is obviously easy to eliminate, so we look more deeply into the remaining idea.
Correlation doesn't imply causation is something that people who know a little bit about statistics say to but themselves above people who don't.
People who want an actual discussion make thought out points.

i know this is going to seem really racist but i think that every race in America has the same chance of being successful. (not every person but every race)

I totally disagree. If they all have the same chance, why are some doing more poorly as a whole? Is it something about them? A yes to that last question is when we get into racism.

It's not racist, but it's incredibly stupid. If you alone accept that economic status is correlated to "being successful" and that people on some races are economically worse off, then you would see that this is untrue.

well there is the upbringing that has carried on for years so i do understand where you came from with this. it's a touchy subject and words can get mixed around easily but i'm just gonna go full blast.

families have been born and raised into the welfare life and that's really all that they know as far as how to get by in life. (this is all different races btw)

it's not about the race it's about the upbringing.
