atleast pigs are more intelligent than dogs

how do you decided whats too much - all factory farmed animals seem to suffer far too much to me
ive heard its the other way around - game (or w/e its called) from the woods tastes better

yes we should make the population of eaten animals muuuuuuuuuuch lower, not make anymore of them unless their living conditions are proper and for give those alive a proper living

I think factory farming is way too much.

I've had wild game, and it's way too tough. I realized after I moved out though that my wife's parents are shitty cooks though, so it might have just been their cooking.

Wild game depends on the ability of the cook and the hunter. You said earlier that suffering makes it taste better, it's actually the opposite. So if you had wild game that was too tough, the hunter was probably a terrible hunter and caused undue stress to the animal upon killing it and or your wife parents don't know how to cook meat. Heh.

One day, all meat will be grown in labs and be twice as delicious.

I think religion is totally important here, if consciousness is something that occurs naturally within our universe then who cares if we create and destroy it at will. But if it's something special that comes from elsewhere then maybe it isn't right to bring it into a less than ideal existence.

I wasn't saying that animals don't suffer etc, I'm saying that we should be able to eat them without them suffering so it shouldn't factor into the argument. You mentioned hunting earlier, there's no reason that an animal that gets eaten should lead a different life to one out of captivity. Although if you look at milk/wool etc it gets more complicated ofc, you could drug them up and do it while they sleep :)

Anyway if you refrain from eating meat how are the powers to be supposed to know its because you don't like the way they're treated. Need to make a fuss about it as well otherwise there's plenty of reasons to not eat meat

eh wtf??? fdskrö that's an authority issue mate concealed it mysticism...
well what do you think - which life do you prefer and dont you seem any difference that you wouild life your whole life in jail? it's big difference, it's still wrong but atleast they potentially LIVED not suffered all they life.
witch milk production their male babys are slaughtered right away and drugged issue is kinda u fucked up so wouldnt want to go there at all atm since in hurruy

well i try to ban (with progressivelu taxing more and more (better faster that slower but understand its complicated since its big industry)) meat / dairy / eggs politically and socially advertising it so i hope at least sometimes i can spread the thinging/word/w/e - ive been doing this to the point of preaching which is problematic to the cause :)

"To live is to suffer, to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering." - Friedrich Nietzsche

Therefore, the only way to prevent suffering would be extinction. A "non-suffering existence" is a silly concept that does not deserve to be discussed.

When humans choose to use an animal for food, they are maximizing that species' chances of survival. They are helping it adapt for the new Earth (i.e. the planet humans have terraformed to work with our technology). The unlucky species are the ones we don't eat/domesticate. Those are the ones that can become endangered.
