what u mean by 4 10 or 6 8 i am new to craps
You honestly really ought to do some serious studying if you wanna play craps right, but the shorthand is this - it's easier to get a number to come up the closer it is to 7.
To shoot in craps, you roll the dice. If the number is 4-10 but not 7, that becomes the new 'target number' for the shooter to hit.
Now, let's say there's no target number established. You definitely want to throw money on the pass line, coz you win in two ways - either the shooter rolls a 7 and you win, or the shooter rolls anything but a 2/3/11 and that becomes the target number, and then you win when they hit that number a second time (without a 2/3/7/11)
However, if there's already a number established and that number happens to be fucking terrible and difficult to roll like a 10, you're better off throwing down your chips on 'don't pass,' as the roller has to get a 10 (a 1/12 chance) before they get a 2/3/7/11 - the likelihood of a 7 just by itself is 1/6.
Basically, you just need to get close to having memorized the odds of rolling any particular number on two dice. It's actually pretty easy - you just count out the ways you can make a number and then put that over 36. So you can make a 10 with a 4/6, 5/5, or 6/4 - 3/36 or 1/12 chance. Meanwhile you can make a 7 with 1/6, 2/5, 3/4, 4/3, 5/2, or 6/1 - 6/36 combinations are 7, leading to a 1/6 chance.
Honestly, just stick with slots.
