High Sparrow can come out on top in either 2 ways
He has converted Tommen into a fanatic and has him on a leash, a way to keep the faith militant at the top in power
OR
Tommen is fanatical and played right into his hand, as Cersei stands trial for incest, which won't be by combat, which would make the loyal and stupid Tommen illegitimate by the laws. But... who would he have take Tommen's place? This seems unlikely, because whether Tommen is a fanatic or not is kind of irrelevant, becase Margaery is faking it and likely has control over Tommen.
In a bench trial the 7 septons can seperate the charges, a trial by combat not so much.
So whereas if CleganeBowl happened, and hound killed mountain Cersei would be guilty of Incest and Tommen would lose the crown, instead in the bench trial the Septons can find Cersei guilty of regicide and innocent of incest. Or even guilty of Incest with Lancel but innocent of incest with Jaime, as the Lancel thing started after Bobby B was dead that narrative makes sense. Either way Tommen's crown should be safe.

They are the enemies of plenty of people.
As you were getting at, its about perspective.
Daenarys leaves massacres in her wake and wants to slaughter a bunch more people to claim "her" throne and rule over everyone else.
Tyrion is a murderer, child abuser, and dubious conspirer .. A Lannister that talked the hill tribes into taking up arms against the starks, 'led' them into battle, and promised them the vale.
G Martin himself called him a villain. Being a joker and likable character doesn't change that.
Tommen is a spineless religious fanatic and king. Not a good combination.
Littlefinger is perhaps the shadiest of the bunch and is responsible for Ned Stark's death. Helping out because he wanted to bang Stark's wife and daughter doesn't exactly absolve him of that.
wat?
