I do a few hours a week at the YMCA working with kids, some paid some volunteer but the pay is so bad might as well be volunteer lol

I enjoy it though so it's worth my time there is no greater currency than the effect you have on other people

I am a manager at a grocery store. It doesn't sound glamorous but they do pay very well where I work and I have been able to move up very quickly.

Personal and small business banking, mostly despise it. See the potential to help people and the few I am able to help feels great, but also see so many good people in desperate need for help and have to tell them to fuck themselves. "Been our loyal customer for 25 years? Well now you lost your job due to the oil crash, but either make your payments or GTFO!" So much bureaucratic bullshit. So much that could get accomplished through a simple conversation but forced to jump through 25 hoops.

I used to work for a pharmaceutical insurance provider, now defunct, called AdvancePCS. The worst day that I can remember there was when a woman called in because she had to get drugs for her son's cancer treatment and they were trying to charge her like $800.

Turns out that the last dose used up almost all of the Maximum Allowable Benefit for her insurance, which like $1200 a year. It was the second of the six doses he'd need to get treated.
