ye. if you have the will and the resources you can maintain good nutrition on vegan diet

reality : even my hardcorest vegan friends have declined in overall health since applying such heavy dietary restrictions to their lives

other reality : the ability to even choose is pure luxury and completely unrealistic in most parts of the world

tru, for me it's worked, not that hard after years and couldn't see other way
in survival situation i'd most likely hunt if gardening wouldn't be enough

Couldn't have said that any better.
People would kill for what we consume. Our society created "vegan/vegetarian" by having so much shit available to our disposal. It got people literally shitting their pants over eating even a carb if they are on a diet.

Actually it's the opposite.. Meat is a luxury of the wealthier societies. The poorest nations in the world are vegetarian.

Those poorest nations do not consciously restrict their diets in any way, I guarantee you :p (unless for possible religious reasons)

Part of it is definitely due to over-consumption, food waste, and food choices. Another side is animal empathy which I also understand.

I didn't say they restricted their diets. They're restricted just because it's too expensive to eat meat.

Gardening is fairly easier to do in poor countries as opposed to hunting. But they certainly aren't as Anal(lol) about eating meat. Here it's the media and self image that people bow down to. I wouldn't care what I ate if I was poor, as long as it was edible and will keep me alive.

Expensive or rare. But should the opportunity arise, they jump on it because they are desperate for good protein
