We both know where yours is & speech. Comes from the same cavity.

I'm sure it'll get really hot in there, but I'm not very concerned, it's all just temporary from spare parts I had lying around.

I've seen a lot of people make their own stereos from car radios, I've seen a lot of people make their own computer cases, but as far as I can tell, mine may be the first to have both. (I could be wrong though)

3 days of my life well spent.

In these pictures you'll see my progress through building my computer/boombox.
A lot of test fitting pictures are in here, as well as pictures of it in it's current state, it's 99.9% done, I'm just waiting on the handles/hinges to dry, the hinges are gold in the pictures, but they're silver now, the handles were roughed up and worn so I gave them a nice fresh coat of paint.
It's currently installing Windows 8.. very little left to do!

This is the most fun I've had building something so far!
About 90% of this was built from things I had lying around the house, with the exception of the headunit (was given to me) - and the lumber for the outer frame, the front latches to hold it closed, and the radio antenna on the top. Overall, I I spent around $35.
Speakers came out of my blazer, power supplies I had lying around, front USB header came from the same old computer that the motherboard came from, monitor I've had lying around for nearly 3 years waiting for something to use it for.
I may have missed something, but nonetheless, enjoy!

Too many pictures to put in thread, uploaded to imgur album instead: http://imgur.com/a/8P2lr
Here's a few sneak peeks before you decide to dive into the album!

Thank you! :)
Glad you all enjoy.
It was a learning experience, I've only built a few 3 dimensional things, but nothing with angles, it was fun to do!
The hardest part of all of this was soldering the wires in a cramped space (for the headunit to power supply, but it was actually not that bad. This was my first time soldering anything.
I took 3 different categories and merged them, wood, car audio, computers.
I didn't know much about car audio either, but after finding pinout diagrams and wiring diagrams for an ATX PSU and the wiring harness on the headunit, it was as easy as connecting the dots.

It could be a little bit cleaner, but I was working with limited tools in limited space.

I still don't have a garage to work out of, so I moved everything to my basement instead of loading it all into the back of my blazer and then taking it out when I wanted to build something.
I'm starting to like the basement though, I have some old cabinets from my parents kitchen remodel that I'm hopefully going to be moving down to the basement, the only thing I really need now is a nice table saw, a router, and a few other small tools.

I'm in the process of finding another hard drive, the 500GB drive I put in it is bad and won't finish a windows installation. I've tried 5 other hard drives, and the only working one is a 60GB and that just won't cut it!
