Except YouTube is broken when it comes to sending just plain music. It's stupid to send a bunch of frames of video that are all just the same still image when all you want to upload is a song.

Yes, but in the aggregate, it's a huge waste of bandwidth. It's very smart to replace that system, and there's no reason not to use a perfectly sensible replacement for that system.
