nonsense. it's not about defending dro's actions, it's about defending someone threatening to knock you out. the only proper reaction to that is "i'd like to see you try" or violence.

Size and fitness has nothing to do with fighting. Skill can easily out trump those two things if said things come with no experience behind them.

And I am saying this from my experience being just average build and height and fitness level but having over a decade of training. All of my fights have ended badly for the bigger more fit person.

Size and fitness is all that matters when you are both noobs at fighting and you take luck out of the equation. Unless he is a ninja or extremely lucky it wouldn't end well for him...and I'm saying this as a level headed guy that does not go out of my way to pick fights with people that are much bigger than me and would most likely destroy me. The only fights I've ever had in my adult life have been twice where I've been physically assaulted, apart from one time at uni when a drunk guy I vaguely knew stuck 2 fingers up at me in a club and didn't stop when I warned him.

Its not like I don't see how you feel and understand it....

But I guess you don't want friends to the point that you'd suffer a bit for them.. Imo he didn't really feel how he said. He probably said that to keep his own *face* yah know? On the spur of the moment, some people react ways they really don't want to, which is why he apologized right away.

He probably had other reasons, like he might've been in a tough situation before man. But I'll respect your decision. I just wanted to throw this out there.

You need to be careful with that assumption. No matter how skilled both parties are or not a fight can go any way.

A buddy of oh mine skinny as a rake, nerdy book worm got into an altercation with another guy bigger than him. He had never been for any training and never been a fight his whole life
A poke to the big dude's eye followed by a stamp to the guy's knee (breaking it) endned the fight quickly

if you threaten someone with violence you must have a good reason beyond not liking being touched. if you are willing to "knock me out" over slapping you on the back then i'll make you rethink that. over here you get king hit or glassed for threatening to knock someone out

Dude must have realized he wasn't dealing with a man who was capable of that sort of thing. :(

Are you sure it's not whining on the internet because he didn't sit with you at lunch the next day? I hear that's a popular option.
