.05 + 1.05 = $1.10


So what you're saying is $1.00 + 10 cents does not equal $1.10

I remember, back in elementary school, we had a presentation in the cafeteria by some people who were demonstrating what liquid nitrogen can do. One of the things they did was pound a rubber nail into a block of wood with a hammer made out of mercury. Was cool.
