Gotta agree with you on that part.
Well we are always one of the last countries to get something -.-
- Well thats a hard one but i would say Christian Bale

Which one are your favorite?
Hate to sound bandwagon and say Gary Oldman, but also hate to sound hipster and say I liked him before Batman/Harry Potter. However, I've always loved Gary Oldman, since The Fifth Element when I was twelve. Liked his crazy personality there. Over the years I learned that he had amazing talent at being a chameleon actor- he could be someone as crazy as Drexel Spivey, or as wholesome as Sirius Black, and even a great person as Jim Gordon. All the while, me being one of his biggest fans, could watch these films and not even recognize him sometimes.
Not a big fan of his recent success however, his old films really put a smile on my face. State of Grace being my favorite role, then of course True Romance, and Dracula.
Second to Oldman would be Hugo Weaving, hands down.
First glimpse of Christian Bale was Empire of the Sun in which he really didn't bother me. Second viewing was American Psycho, which really just blew me away. Then he was Batman and who can't love this guy? Even his small insignificant roles are great. I only hate his real home town accent.
