The Amazing Spider-Man - 8/10
Release: 2012 - Action | Fantasy | Thriller
- Actually i like the actors better in the original series (2002+). But the plot is much better and more realistic in this version, which makes it just a 0.5 better in my opinion.

+1 on that, I was so happy to see artificial web fluid back, with such a change that I couldn't help but enjoy. Death is important with any hero story, sad to see so many stories stray from it. If you like Andrew Garfield's performance, "Boy A" is worth a view-(didn't see it on your list) though I warn you that his emotion on demand, while excellently performed, starts to look painfully similar when you compare his movies.

Total agreement on The Prestige as well, first film to blow my mind and force me to watch it again as soon as it ended (and the last film to hit me in this manner). Granted with any list of favorites, people will always have their own opinion and own taste. I disagree with a few, then agree with most, and the selection that I haven't seen really make me want to expand my own collection. And I'll agree with a previous comment on checking out the classics. Some are a bore and many are terribly over acted, but the gems in between really change your views on the whole film business. Was a different time back then, and a different art. I'm slowly starting to appreciate these, once a week though as to not become a time traveller.

Any interest in Cloud Atlas by chance?

Yeah it looks very interesting, I've added it to the top of my watchlist. Won't be out for 2,5 months or so?

Just caught your addition of Battle Royale. I purchased this a couple of months ago on a whim and couldn't have been more pleased really. It's like watching The Hunger Games, but with blood as cheesy as can be/yet a far more believeable story, unfortunately though my favorite character died early. Interesting to see someone push the boundaries these days, tired of the same stuff on TV. Any time you purchase Japanese you are really taking a gamble on what you'll see. Loving it so far.

Cloud Atlas came out yesterday where I live, but just noticed you are in Denmark. Not sure how the whole regional release thing works. Personally, when I know a movie premiers in some other country before I have the chance to see it (or it's leaked all over the place with spoilers abound)- I stop using the internet, entirely, until I have the opportunity to watch it without spoilers ruining the moment. Love that new movie "Oooooooh" effect.

Quick question: Favorite actor?
