If I were you I'd just akd wtf was that and why. Then if he's an asshole just laugh and leave. Then wouldn't talk to him again.

If this is a serious thread, here's some serious advice:

Apologize that you offended him, and then ask why it offended him. You only meant it as a friendly greeting and had no intentions of upsetting him.

If troll post: Doesn't really matter what I say, does it?

Heh. I confronted him today m, will update when I get home

I went up to him at lunch today when he was alone, and said 'alright'. He said hows it going mate, followed by sorry for getting angry at the pub bla bla bla, before I could even answer his question.

When he finished talking I said it's cool but why did you react so badly to that, imo it was a big overreaction, to which he said 'i dont know it just annoyed me'. That kinda pissed me off straight away and I said ok but if you overreact or make a threat in future I will be obliged to hit you. Then he said fair enough, and we parted ways. I guess we aren't friends anymore

Inb4 he comes to work and shoots up the place tomorrow
