agreed.

It all depends on the context of your question, and how adversely it would effect the past/present/future.
However to some people, if it was 50/50, the kids life might be worth taking (pressing the button twice to insure you killed Hitler).

I would not do it =\ but im taking into consideration the effects on history and also the fact that pressing that button is still what hitler and the nazis wanted you to do.
If you hit it, you're as weak as those nazis that just "did it cuz they were told".

You could even change it up and say, I could hit the button when i'm 8, and in 10 years someone random would die, and i would magically have 1mil in my bank -i still wouldn't do it... no matter how removed you make me from the question.

I'm just trying to say, in an ideal world, NO moral or ethical person press this button. You wouldn't press it because you don't want to kill me; I wouldn't press it because I wouldn't want to kill you.
Yes i read some of the early posts, but there's no justifying murder by saying, Cigarrette companies do it so why can't I? The difference is that the people who choose to smoke put themselves at risk willingly.
If no one pressed the button, there's a 0% chance of added death count to this world. You could extrapolate it however large you want.. even if the odds are 1:6trillion, you press that button... one person is dead.

Perhaps, but most would not knowingly take actions that would kill someone. If you did know, it would be my hope that you would changed what you were doing.
Yes, bullet makers make bullets, but they don't go out and just kill people. You're basically saying that since we're all indirectly influencing each other, we should all just kill because its going to happen anyway?
I usually think a lot of the stuff you say is funny Futuristic, but I think you're wrong and messed up in the head for what you think about this topic/question.

Holy wall of text.

I read it though and I acctually agree with what you are saying.

I voted "few times" but I changed my mind right after.

I could never live with knowing that Ive killed someone.

That's that.

I vote no, never.

All the money in the world wouldn't allow me to push a button that would kill someone, especially if it could be my daughter. No fuckin way!

Imagine a button theoretically existed that could instantly deposit $1,000,000 into your bank account, but every time you pushed it, some random person across the world would die.

It could be your mother, some African dude, some Chinese dude, whoever, they just drop dead.

There is no limit to how many times you do it and it's untraceable, do you push the button or not? If so, how many times?

i wouldn't press it at all. knowing you took a life for profit would stay with me forever. that and my inherent fear of hell....hell is a bad place from what i hear :D

as for the other question: 50/50 chance hitler or some rando

i wouldn't press that either... say hitler dies and WW2 never happens.... who is to say that the timeline thus being altered wouldn't result in more deaths from a bigger war.... while WW2 was a horrible war, but it brought unity after and a lesser chance of a global war

Can I die?

If I were feeling suicidal and I could die from the random generator, well this would eb a hilarious way to go out.

I'd probably lose all depressive thoughts around 100billion though.
