700 rigs in Alberta will be in full swing by the end of this year and the backbone (roughnecks) will be getting the hefty average wage of 16 an hour.
Which is absolutely pathetic in terms of the amount of labor and back breaking work that they do.
Pretty much every employee from leasehand to Derrick hand to wmd hands to consultants and geologists will be taking a 30-50% pay cut.
well good, they dont deserve all that money anyway! give it to the poor and homeless. invest in the future by investing in public works for high poverty areas. god bless america.
