helping and serving other people has nothing to do with the church there are thousands of worldwide organizations that DO help people tho
the church has shown time and time again that it does NOT use the majority of its money to help others
wanna help others?
tear down EVERY church spend all the money on helping people
stop taking tax breaks literally taking money out of peoples pockets
what about Ken Ham? the Creation museum 18 million in tax credit for an untaxed 100 million dollar park
how many people could he have helped? how many houses could he have built for the homeless how many starving children could he feed?
but hed rather build robot dinosaurs with cavemen
wanna take it back farther? to middle ages? where the town would literally bankrupt its residents to build extravagant churches
there are documented instances of rebellion where the townsfolk burned down the church because they were being starved to death for its cost
this happened all over europe
THIS is the church you stand for THIS is the church you support with your "faith" ( i call it ignorance )
THIS is the behavior of your church seeking to "help others"
you can justify all you want that doenst change the facts
i dont need salvation
if i have issues in life i turn to my friends and family who will actually help me not to an imaginary man who cant even talk to me
When we say help and serve others it merely means putting others first before yourself in humility. This is in everyday life.
The majority of the money would have to be used with paying the bills and funding missionaries, you know the missionaries that go overseas to preach the Gospel to the most dangerous places?
If you want to go in the direction of tearing down buildings, why not tear down casinos and spend all of that money on helping people?
We all need to pay taxes, there is no avoiding that.
Never heard of Ken Ham.
When you say 'the town' which town do you mean?
I'd also like to hear about your thoughts about those people who murder, only love themselves, rape, scam, steal and abandon their own children.
The church that I stand for would not condone any of the things just mentioned. The church I stand for is there to let other people know about Jesus Christ.
The church that I stand for teaches that you are first saved and as a response, go out and serve other people in whatever area you choose.
This is the same rebellion that everybody else like you have. You are not special or unique in the way that you approach this.
One day, the storm may be the very thing that you turn to in those times of trouble.
