lawyer up? if they are going to court and the issue is more or less resolved in the civil and legal sense, this is illegal and wastes the court's time as well as everyone involved.
If the clinic simply got their lawyer involved to make sense of what has been agreed to that's entirely different (maybe a bit laughable but hey it happens). So long as you aren't footing their bill that way its all fine
