I mean why have money with the intention of not spending it?
I'm not sure what I plan on doing with 40 grand but I probably wont be saving it for the rest of my life...

Because there is nothing that I really need/want right now that is being hindered by a lack of money, it's mostly being hindered by a lack of time. Saving early can lead to massive gains later on in life for possibly an early retirement

no not really prolly get a nice studio apartment and pay off a few years ahead.
Invest sum of it and continue life.
Basically prepare my self for the future.
