Actually you are wrong with that second line. If you go to 'grab' a live power line then you won't be able to let go because when you receive a shock your muscles tense up which means your hand will clench.

What you should do if you are going to touch a live power line is to touch it with the back of your hand so even if you get a shock then your hand won't clench on the live power line.

I'm so glad that I saved your life before you went to touch a live power line. There is a reason why we all lived to tell the tale.
