I probably jumped to belief without seeing enough substantial evidence because it fits my bias.
But the loudest voice in substantiation of Hollow Earth is Edmond Halley, of Halley's comet.
He obviously would have tested the zenith of the sun since he lived in Greenwich, so we can instantly deduce he understands the geometry of the earth.
& not only that
He accurately depicted the path of his comet and it's periodocity using Newton's laws of motion before the Principia Mathematica publication.
Which means he probably also had access to & would have included of some of the "incoherent" alchemical works of Newton (not just the scientifically refined version) to come to his conclusion.
the conclusion that supported his kabalistic beliefs.
