My friend I am sorry to hear all of that. And I hope all of it works out for you in the end my friend.
What I suggest however is laying off some of the smoking, perhaps your throat needs to heal.

My brother in law and sister are heavy smokers, and at times their throat hurts. And well it's cause of the excessive smoking.
