Honda and Nissan are both Japanese companies (and yes, I am fully aware that both companies have production plants in the United States).

not talking about sports cars in specificity, just overall quality

most people drive every day sedans or SUV's

so Civic, Accord, Pilot, and CR-V vs Altima, Versa, Pathfinder, and Murano

in general I'd go with honda, though I'd say both are good brands, it really depends on a model vs model comparison based on a drivers needs.

Nissan frontier owner here because honda does not make any trucks for North America (ridgeline doesnt count, at least the older generation). I'd love for them to bring a small to med sized truck to market that is no frills, well priced and about the size of the Rangers in 4cyl and 6 , and standard transmission option.

The new redesign seems different from the older ones, but either way, it's not an inexpensive small to med sized truck.
