in general this is right, when interviewing any tips that you look up tell you that you do not have to reveal that you have kids or responsibilities like that during the interview and that you shouldn't because it will most likely effect the interviewer negatively because the 'single moms' and dads and whatnot will have actual days they must call off for the kids, and while you're crying over here about this lady having to take a day off here and there she's prob having a hard time with the bills because she has to take days off and i bet all of them aren't paid. and if they are all paid days off good for her, why must you look down on other people for doing well in life, angry envy is an ugly thing.

Not crying at all just find it funny that the weak link gets the pay increase when the team players get pushed to the side.

Yup! I tried to never take a day off when I was a single mom but shit happens, I actually worked with several single moms at my old place of business and yeah the shit happened but none of us got pissed off or cried about it, not even the ones without kids

you most likely just dont even know all the details, if somebody is getting more money everyone who isnt is gonna be pissed and find a reason why they should have instead or this other person, get over it, move on, what other people have has nothing to do with you

Let's be fair here, call outs bother people regardless of the reason, and if a parent is calling out frequently it definitely bothers the shit out of people without kids. They most likely won't say anything at the work place as that could lead to termination. But trust me it bothers them

i have personally experienced quite different situations than you, most family people are usually quite reliable and have good reason to call off now and then, it is usually not frequent and i have been in the workplace where plenty of single non-family people call in 'sick' and whatnot frequently and most likely they just have a hangover or just dont want to show up, there are plenty of parents that work equally as hard and at some points harder than even single people, get off your high horse and check into reality please.

I am not saying that they cant be reliable, just that it's bullshit that they are given leeway for calling out a lot and saying it's their kid, when in reality it usually isn't. This isn't a discussion about the occasional call out. But people that call out 2+ times per month and always used the kid excuse is BS. If I did that I would be fired, but since they just say child problems it's perfectly fine.


I work retail atm... There is no women I have ever met that even comes close to my output. If they want equal pay they should be able to do everything I do, now I am not saying a women in my job should make half what I make, but I feel a dollar or 2 an hour more when I definitely bust my ass more then the women around me should be justified. Simply put... A women CANNOT do everything a man does in the employment world. I am not being sexist I am just being true here.
