Thanks for the insight! I was with one of the biggest call centers in the world and it was utter garbage. I can't think of one that isn't. We used to do some surveys from huge companies like cnn and we would have to call a certain demography of people so that the result of the question they asked were exactly what they wanted. Instead of asking xxx amount of people and getting a real honest survey, then they get on cnn and be like 80% of people agree to this shit. Literally a scum industry to be in. Everything is so bias.

hahaha, no doubt, a lot of those places are scummy. Incoming is almost always better than outgoing, at least. There are still a fair number of places that still do customer service work over the phone in a call center environment, though of course, not nearly as many as there were like a decade ago or so.

Long term, you should really see if you can get him to move toward IT or related stuff. Fixing computers doesn't take a whole lot of standing up, generally speaking, and there's a shitload of money to be made.

Thanks man! I am getting a huge chunk of money in the next few months from a accident I was in (got hit by a car in a crosswalk) and I was gonna look into helping him out with school. This dude has done a lot for me so I owe him something and he really deserves it.

That's really not a terrible idea at all. The best part about IT is that you can get some pretty great ground-level stuff with nothing more than certificates rather than needing to do a full proper schooling thing. idk exactly what the hot certs are these days, but I can't imagine that the MCSE has stopped being important, for instance, and that alone will get you in the door at a lot of places.

The best part about IT is that once you're really good, you can go run the IT for some small-medium company on your own and make an absolute ton while mostly just sitting around and reaping the rewards of doing it right the first time. :P

A lot of medical coding jobs can be done from home, as well.

Ooh, this is smart. Though the lack of access to Internet could definitely come up, obvs. But with a buddy like OP, that might be the kind of thing that could be worked around until he got a proper house. It also has the benefit of not needing to really interact with others. :D

yes. insurance companies requiring nurses to sign off on whether or not the applicant requires.... diabetes pump. look thru the doc notes- does A. have Diabetes? Well then insurance will probably cover it.

college, however

e// your friend would need background in medical.. and then luck out in an insurance job to determine if liposuction, diabetes pump.. etc, are medically necessary
