Plus, there really aren't that many people in the world - you'd probably be shocked to get a complete list of every single person you're 11th cousins with. That'd be your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather's sibling's descendant. If your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great uncle or auntie had 3 kids and each of them had 3 and so on, you'd be talking about a pool of 177,147 people descended from them that are technically your 11th cousin. Once you start adding in removals and whatnot - it's just not that big a coincidence. Hell, I'm like 12th cousins with George Washington, iirc.
