I get being insecure and fashion conscious, but definitely not to the point where I have to jam a finger in my eye.

That's probably only about 10% of the reasonfor getting xcontacts . if you've never worn glasses for a majority of your life you wouldnt understand how limiting they can be especially in contact sports like soccer

I don't wear contacts though since I'm sure they're uncomfortable but necessary if you are heavily into sports

~$120 for about a year's supply of contacts; 48 contact lens Acuvue Oasis
-I have to buy 2 measurements since my eyes are different
~$16 for a 10oz bottle of contact solution; Bausch & Lomb

I use the contact cases that I get for free from my eye dr from each visit.

If I were to change solution every day, as you should (I don't, simply because I don't wear contacts often), I would maybe have to buy more solution every couple months?

hmm ok so they dont seem too expensive? thats w/o any insurance?

Yeah

I've heard of vision discount plans.. but I don't think those cover contact lens.

I went about a month ago it costed me 135$ for 4 boxes of 3 pairs (same vision for both eyes) With a 25$ rebate that you have to mail to the lens company when you bought 4 packs so it came to 110$
I should be changing pair every month but I usually keep them for about 2 months before changing (unless 1 crack or i lose 1 somehow)
I get 2 packs of 2x Opti Free solution 300ml ea. for about 35$ for both which last me a year easily
I get a case for free with each pack of solution

Contacts arent meant for everyone because personally they dont bother me at all.

thanks for the info. I'm gonna go get my eyes checked again next week. probly gonna do the exam for contacts as well. my glasses just end up annoying me when i go out. and i go out way too much for not having contacts.

contacts have high maintenance

Not really. Just take them out and put them in solution over night.
I never wash and rub them with solution unless there was a hair on it or it was irritating me because I got something in it...dirt, dust, hot pepper etc

I personally could never wear contacts, anytime I tried to put them on I would hurt myself by poking my eyes! And then my eyes would tear uncontrollably like a waterfall!

The water would flow too much and I figured it's not worth. Too much of a pain in the neck, however glasses always have been more than enough to suffice for me. :D ;) XD

Not a day goes by that I don't have my reading glasses with me! :D ;) XD

Heck I am even wearing them right now as I type this to you folks! :D ;) XD
