nope
went to graduation after university though

This.

If you plan to attend any university or higher schooling than a community college than probably not gonna go to the community college graduation..

To be honest, depending on what you get your degree in, you can get a degree at a community college fairly easily..

I'm fairly sure it's more or less an American thing - they're public colleges that only offer the first two years of university and usually also have a few trade schools attached as well. So you can get an Associate's Degree, or a welder's certificate, or a nursing degree, etc.

Unique to them is a 'transfer degree,' which you can take to a four year university in order to start as a Junior. The biggest benefit - they're heavily subsidized, so they're much more affordable, and poor kids can usually get a free ride.

Basically, not going to Community/Jr. College is dumb unless you have a giant pile of money. :P

Or you received a scholarship.

Not where I went. Some places write you a check that can be spent on whatever, but mine was strictly for tuition, books, lab fees, and room/board. Not the same thing as a pile of money imo.

Well,a pile of money you can only spend on school is still a pile of money.

I suppose it's semantics. To me a million dollars of kohl's cash =/= a million dollars.

If your parents want to go it then you should do it. Other than that, you save $50 for not going to it because the cap & gown is made out of a cheap material and it's not worth keeping. It could save you the long ass wait. Smartphone use during graduation = disrespectful.
