People are just clinging to the race or sexual orientation card while they still can. Eventually they won't have an excuse. They'll have to accept that being an idiot is bad for your health.
That being said, police can be brutal. But that's any civil profession.
Are all cops good? No. Are all criminals out for blood? No.
But if someone pulls a gun or knife on me, I live in a conceal carry state, better believe they will catch slug in the chest.

Because its easier for them to categorize people, and then discriminate based on their characterization. This way the person doesn't have to think too much. They can see the skin colour and jump to conclusions. Also people who have repeated bad experiences, try to find some pattern so they can recognize something that is similar about all of them. Skin colour happens to be one way racist people try to justify their actions or reasons. Some of it might even be a subconscious thing.

It's about broader patterns more than any individual case. It's funny how upset so many white kids get about it tho. When you literally think it's controversial and upsetting to say that black lives matter, you should probably just accept that you're racist and move on.
