It's been a long time since I looked but methane gets cleansed out of the atmosphere in like 12 years and CO2 takes a thousand or so.

they show an unmistakable uptake in greenhouse gases which correspond directly to what we extract and burn

my point being, arguing that there is no global impact is .... hubris at its best
