That decorative design reminds me of gaudy tacky cowboy boots. Also I think that raised heel is bad ergonomics and serves no purpose other than to make you look taller.

Oh. good thing those little holes are there so he can drain out the swamp water from his stroll through the bog (on the way to a presentation of course)

Sounds like u semi following what i wrote the last time :p

Its pretty much all depends on what u like. Hard to go mega wrong with any type of Oxford for formal / semi formal events. To come with my own personal opinion i prefer classics in black or dark brown without any "hole" patterns.

Something similar to this:

brogues are for wankers, honestly. I work in London, the city and only graduates come in wearing things like brogues or shit like that, its as appropriate as wearing a tuxedo.

Theres some beautiful shoes out there by similar shoemakers that make brogues - like churches, santoni, etc, but without the perforations or tassles an shit.

but to answer your question - its brown shoes for navy blue trousers and black shoes for black trousers. not hard to fuck that up.

edit:

i own more than 20 pairs of designer formal shoes, if you want something decorative or overly flashy they don't need to be cliche brogues.

The "wildest" ones i own are these Ted Bakers:

and these Santoni:

but the brogues are like.. cliche flashy though? the first pair werent expensive either, i think they were less than £100. forget about the second pair.

look for "formal shoes" but not "brogues"

unless the rest of your outfit is this:
