Started out as an extra sheet of plywood and an idea I had when I was drunk. The software took longer to figure out than building the damn thing. I'm going to get a NINTENDO marquee printed up and fix it under some plexiglass when I stop being lazy.

Going to start work on a pedestal with a 55" display, track ball for golden tee, and 2 light guns as soon as the weather gets crappy.

That's pretty awesome, mang. gg. What'd you do exactly for the controllers?

Bought a set of buttons/sticks from amazon. I went the cheapest route, which is working fine but it doesn't provide that satisfying "click" with each button mash that the professional ones have.

hahaha yeah, that's how it goes sometimes, but that's about as easy a problem to solve as there is, I'd imagine.

That's neat about the junction boxes. I have probably just enough knowledge to bang something like this together for myself, but haven't actually looked into it. It's something that I've definitely always considered doing tho, coz who the fuck doesn't want something this awesome?

Seriously the wood work cost me less than 100 bucks and took me 2 days (not counting the paint...different story). The frontend took me like 2 weeks to figure out completely. There's a 20" lcd monitor and a beastly core 2 duo (I think...) pc running the show.

I've got a cool build with an AMD apu processor for the next build. I thought about going with an I5 setup, but the AMD cost me like 1/4 and came with a free mobo from microcenter. I'm going to attempt to emulate up to the latest street fighter game with the pedestal.

If any of your photoshop guys have a good idea for a marquee please let me know! I think it's like 4"x 28" I will measure it exactly if anyone cares.
