at first it's walking around / marching with gun
then you start to wear 60-90 pound armor... that gets everyone in shape
forests camps with them - you crawl... alot
marches - a bit obstacle courses - couple of times ½year pretty chill swimming
let's look up some russian exercise routines and try them?
we had 3 sport only days when no military stuff
first time i went for: yoga (lol)
second: orienteering (was first from hundreds of people, hehe)
