Is there anything new coming out that might make 4K TV;s cheaper than they currently are?
I have a 42" and 48" TV that work so I dont 'need' one but I would like one that is bigger

I have noticed today on slickdeals that there are a couple 65" 4k 120hz TV;s around $1,000

So anything coming along that is going to drop these prices anytime soon or just go ahead and buy one now? Again I don't need it and if someone even within the next year would drop the price fairly significiantly I will wait, but I don't follow TV technology to know whats going on.

The 2016 model 4K's have HDR support, which is a big improvement in picture quality, but they require HDR-capable sources, like 4K Blu-ray, to take full advantage. This has been pressing the prices of 2015 model sets down.

I saw that actually, but tried to go to the site and it would site and spin trying to calculate my total. I am sure people won't be getting it anyways and will get refunds instead.

alright. like I said it isn't a rush or anything it is just something I have been wanting. maybe I will just wait until the current crappy TV dies.. lol
or I realized yesterday my work does a computer technology loan program. so maybe I will just wait until I can do that in October. no interest for a year or 2 I believe. so around $100 a month would be easier to justify than all at once.

technology always has and always will get cheaper over time
until it becomes obsolete and appreciates again as a collector's item of course
