Going to stay in these two hotels and 1 other one:

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa

Any advice for vegas?

Should I get a helicopter ride across vegas?

which shows / events to see there?

The Jabbawockees were very entertaining (although I saw them back in 2011, and I don't know if they still perform in Vegas). The buffets at the Wynn and the Bellagio are fantastic, albeit spendy. The fountains at Bellagio are cool to watch, as well. I've heard good things about Fremont Street (in downtown), but I never made it there.

Swimming pool at Hard Rock is the best in town.
