If i call my internet service provider to get my ip changed what info will they ask for?

It's known to be abused, etc.

err there are several things wrong with this.

1. if your not the main account holder they will take a massive dukey on you and probably hang up because you failed to give them some security password or social or something
2. you need to find out if your ip is static or dynamic (one stays the same all the time one doesnt cant remember which is which)
3. if you have an ip addy that never changes or have oen like me that only changes randomly from the servers every so many eons of months they cant do shit
4. most likely they will say they dont support that. Also if you ahve a dynamic ip adress (the one that I beleive changes) all you have to do is turn your router off and turn it back on and it hands you a new ip addy lol

if your isp automatically assigns ip, your best bet is to leave the modem off for a considerable amount of time, hope the ip gets assigned to someone else, then come back online and get a new ip as a result. (it depends on the isp, but usually the ip is leased to your modems mac for 24 hours from the point it started using it, so you'll want to have it turned off for at least that time for the ip lease to expire)
