Why the sudden care in GC?
You're closing a lot of topics, (and I understand the stp_stp guy)
But why have you suddenly started getting strict about General Chat?

It's reinforcement of long-standing policies; the "crackdown" is a reflection of increased violations, not increased desire to "smackdown" the innocent. Of course, this does draw some attention to the section.
