I tired out AoC a couple years back and have been thinking of giving it another shot, but I'm curious as to if it has changed much as a game at all seine then. Any input would be nice. :)

Still the same old AA feat tree giving people unfair advantages, you have to PvE for a month non stop to get anywhere in PvP.
Also the unchained is very deceptive since you only get half the game and the goldcap is like 2-3 gold.

I suggest you leave the game where it is: Uninstalled and in the closet.

Did they fix the quests? I mean, when the game was about a week old, everyone was killing people talking to questgivers so those people just sat there watching their character get assraped while they couldn't do anything about it. Was really fun but also very annoying.

They put guards near quest-givers that 1-shot gankers. However, funcom took a great pvp game and ruined it. So you wont find anyone ganking anymore. Its population is about 200 people during peak hours.

Good to see the game is still going a bit.

In my opinion, thiis game is hands down the best MMO available. The graphics are top notch. The setting is realistic and authentic. The dynamic combat system (other than easy mode one-click cripple games like WoW).

Furthermore, Raids and Instances are not as rushable as in WoW.

PvP has the backdraw of AA tree and Equipment reliablitly. However, skilled players who know about how to approach different classes and do have movement can still do pretty good without the further 2 being high. PvP actually is where the game shines due to its dynamic combat system.

I can only recommend this game to anyone, but well, since the start back in 2008 was full of bugs, the reputation has suffered a lot. The game is not so much for the casual gamer since the gameplay as such is much more complex than in kiddy games such as SWTOR, WoW or LoTR
